Summer Chinese Cultural Festival in Dietfurt
July 9th 2011, Munich


On July 9th, at 4 p.m., the Opening Ceremony began. The local citizens wearing the clothes with the Chinese characteristics, which were designed and made by themselves, paraded on the main road of the city. The “emperor” who was elected by the local people walked in the middle of the parade, greeting to the visitors. The Mayor of Dierfurt, Mr. Franz Stephan gave a speech, and accepted the gifts from Nanjing Youngsters’ Palace. Subsequently, the activities of the festival progressed, and people's laughter continued until late at night. The festival lasted two days.

On July 10th , the Consul General in Munich Mr. MA Jinsheng and his wife Ms.LIU Xia were invited to the festival site. They visited the calligraphy performance of Confucius Classroom Munich, and presented the Chinese ethnic clothing to the government of Dietfurt.
