Confucius Classroom Munich Participated in the "Experience China Day" in Augsburg

The "Experience China Day" was held on September 24, 2011, which was jointly organized by the city of Augsburg and the International Association. The purpose of this activity was mainly to show the traditional Chinese culture, such as calligraphy, painting, paper cutting which were displayed on the spot, so that more Germans could understand the profound Chinese culture and long history.

Confucius Classroom Munich was invited to participate in this event, and displayed the Chinese calligraphy to the local citizens. Many visitors expressed a great interest and enthusiasm, and asked to write their names or good wishes in Chinese calligraphy. Then the staff of Confucius classroom Munich explained the meaning of each word to them. The visitors expressed surprise to the unique structure of the Chinese characters, and expressed heartfelt admiration to the profound significance of it. They also hoped to have more opportunities to witness and experience the Chinese traditional culture, so they could understand and learn much from it.

Dr. Cook, the Federal Parliament and the President of the International Association, and Mr. Kurt Gribl, the Augsburg Mayor, and Mr. MA Jinsheng, the Chinese General Consul in Munich, and Mr. DAI Jiqiang , the Education Consul attended the event.
