On 22th January, the Confucius Institute and the Chinese School Nuremberg celebrated the Chinese New Year together.

Over 200 people met at Asia Star restaurant in Nuremberg to witness a colorful and lively program of the institute’s students, pupils of local middle schools the institute organizes Chinese lessons at and the pupils of the Chinese School performing, singing and playing music.

The program started at three in the afternoon. Famous songs like „Where ist Spring?“ and “The Moon represents my Heart” of singers as young as seven enchanted the audience.

The Principal of the Chinese School Nuremberg, Li Li, presents the Chinese director of the CI, Chen Zhong, with a little token of gratitude

After acknowledgements to the initiators Mrs. Yan Xu-Lackner and Mr. Chen Zhong of the Institute as and Mr. Li Li of the School, as well as thanks to the organizers of both institutions, a rich buffet waited for the families and employees which lasted for several hours.
