Vbw Academic Fair 2012

The Association of the Bavarian Economy (vbw) held this year’s Academic Fair on June 13th in Bayreuth, which is famous for the Bayreuth Festival. China and India were in the focus with the presenter aiming to bring together representatives of economy and science with students and specialists.

The Confucius Institute Nuremberg-Erlangen was the first exhibitor to be visited by Dr. Adalbert Weiss, Head of the Office of the Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts and after a warm welcome and introduction presented with a calligraphy bearing his Chinese name by the Chinese Director of the Institute, Mr. Chen Zhong.



The booth of the Confucius Institute Nuremberg-Erlangen is quite popular with the visitors.

More than 100 people visisted the stand of the Confucius Institute because there was so much on offer: The aforementioned calligraphy presentation of course, but also information about the program, a quiz about China and lots of prizes. Many Indians came by to learn more about their neighboring country and ist culture.



Indian visitors, who are very much intrested in Chinese culture, too, get their names written and try to write with the brush themselves.
